What's the best uniform in "all of sports"*?

I can't believe the Canadiens jersey isn't there. Although I'm not a fan, I think the uniform looks really good.

Fan violence in America?

Did anyone else find it strange that the article ended like this: "The Giants won the game 6-4." It's as if they figured die-hard fans would be impatiently scanning the news story about the murder while saying, "what about the game?! how did the GAME turn out!" Weird.

Sports cars

I would argue that most of the cars listed here are actually American Muscle Cars, rather than pure sports cars. A sports car puts handling and braking before just pure accleration, although power is very important. IMO, a sports car doesn't have an engine so large and heavy that weight distribution and balance is thrown out of whack; neither would it have front drum brakes, like most muscle cars from the 1960s. My favourite sports car is a two-seater convertible fibreglass bodied hemi 2.5 litre V8 with 4 wheel Girling disc brakes from England, from a car company usually known for making large luxury cars. Daimler SP250: I also love the Jaguar E type, most Alfa Romeos, and a bunch of other marques. The Corvette is the closest thing the US has to a true sports car, but it's a bit large to be truly tossible like a sports car could be. I have much respect for what I've seen them do on a racetrack or a winding road, but I'd fall in love with them much more easily if they were 3/4 the size.

Where art thou, Stumpy?

Stumpy was interviewed during the playoffs last year, weeks after Toronto had been eliminated, and he was still playing, yet he said that he would love to be playing for Toronto! Don't tell me Toronto is so deep in skilled forwards they couldn't use him. I suppose it would be a different story if he were a defenseman without a contract. I don't think he'd be sitting around if that were the case. My hope is that he will be picked up the Canadiens, so that I can see him in sports clips, with subtitles reading "vous ne savez pas Jacques" or "la glace de maison Jacques pas moyen" and mystifying Quebecois audiences...
