As wacky trades go ...

Since we're talking Packer trades...that QB we got from the Falcons in '92 turned out okay.

As wacky trades go ...

If I'm a GM, I'm not sure I want any of the guys involved in this trade. Who benefits the most? Assuming everything works out chemistry-wise, I think the T-Wolves. Spree's a good defender, and he rounds out their starting five pretty well. On the sidenote...how 'bout the trade that brought me the most sadness? When my favorite MLB team (the Reds) traded my favorite player (Eric Davis) to my least favorite team (the Dodgers).

Griffey Out for the year.

From the "be careful what you wish for" category. As a lifelong Reds fan, I was elated when they traded for Junior. And though it's certainly not all his fault, the deal has turned out to be a complete bust. The silver lining in this is that Jose Guillen, their best hitter this year, finally gets to play every day.

The (other) Game of Their Lives

I thought they already made a version of this. Stallone was the goalie, Pele was on the team, they had a big argument at halftime about whether or not come back out...oh, wait, that was something else. Seriously, I'm not a soccer fan, but this definitely goes on my "To Watch" list simply because of the creative team behind it. Hoosiers was on the other night and it still gives me chill bumps.

The Walrus wins ...

Active or inactive? At last view, Buster Douglas looked like he went one step further than Tyson and actually did eat someone's children.
