Sports Bio

Die hard Niners fan. Unfortunately, I don't have season tickets. One of the best moments I've witnessed in person is probably a game against the Eagles in December of 2001, where we stuffed the Eagles at goal line 6 times in a row and intercepted it (sometimes called "The Stand"). Another is an October 2000 game against the Raiders, where the teams hit overtime at 28-28, the Raiders missed a field goal, then we missed a field goal, and the Raiders ultimately won. Sad ending but great game.

The best game I have ever seen (I'm pretty young...) is of course the miracle comeback we just had against the Giants. The worst game is probably the Bucs game after it. I cried like it was the end of Brian's Song. :P

Not all that big of a Giants fan despite their run for the world championship, to be honest. The baseball strike when I was a little kid killed baseball for me. And the Warriors... well, I enjoy watching basketball... but the Warriors... I guess we have hope for the future.

Sam says that the T-wolves will miss him!

Cassell has been lucky to play with two great big men in Garnett and Hakeem, who will be his great big man in LA? I'm not saying Cassell is gonna blow up, but I'd take Elton Brand on my team any day.

Little League, Big Expectations

...said Josh, a seventh-grader who maintains a B-minus average. Wow, he's maintaining a B minus?? In SEVENTH GRADE? A true student-athlete indeed!

I know Barkley and Magic said it 8 million times tonight,

I feel kinda bad for Chris Anderson. We all know he can do better than that; he showed it to us last year.

Game on!

Worst clock management ever by the Eagles.

Notre Shame

tieguy, as a student at BU, let me say that whole president thing is a total frickin' mess. And FYI, John Silber is probably the least popular person on the entire campus, among students AND faculty. Total mess.

Cards and 'Stros. NLCS Game 5.

The announcers (and the pitcher) paid a lot of attention to Beltran's stealing, there was a lot of speculation about walking the guy in front of Jeff Kent because Kent hits into a lot of double plays, and he ends the game with a home run on the first pitch. As a not-serious baseball watcher, I thought the announcers did a very good job there explaining Beltran's stealing (I had no idea he was good at that... I mean hey I thought he just hit HRs), and also the walk on Jeff Kent. I thought it was hilarious how they said Jeff Kent has a lot of pride and was probably personally offended by the walk right before Kent bombed it.

Yeah, Canada should really take policy advice from the I-O-frickin'-C

Ack, sorry bout the double post.

Yeah, Canada should really take policy advice from the I-O-frickin'-C

I thought Canada usually does better in the winter events. Then again, that's an assumption and not anything I've checked on... you'd think they would though.

Argentina beats the US

Well in this year's case it would be the Pistons minus Darko and Okur... Which would still dominate the competition.

Argentina beats the US

He fouled out on a moving screen offensive foul with a decent amount of time left. Gotta say, Argentina whipped us. Their whole team could drill 3s and there was nothing the US could do about it.
