I think that any list claiming to comprise the greatest players in the game's history must also include names such as Jabbar, Magic, West, and Bird. Regardless of the criteria used to base judgement (i.e. athletecism, heart, MVP awards, points, or titles), Jordan's name should rise near the top of the list. Is Kobe better than Micheal? Of course not, but not because he's selfish. Kobe has to score for his team to have a decent chance of winning. The bulls needed Mike, but not as much as the Lakers need #8. Last time I checked, shooting alot was ok as long as it was in the context of the offense, you had a decent percentage, and your team was winning. In my opinion, Jordan is still the king, but I certainly welcome any comparisons to Kobe.

Bill, at last count, M.J. has six rings, and Kobe has three. Now I know that some guys go an entire career without getting a title, and the Lakers are no where near getting back to the Finals, but come on...several more rings??? You must be confusing Jordan with Russell.
