As a life long fan of the Bungles, I find this move to be typical. The Cincy braintrust has historically made personnel decisions of this dubious nature.
With that said, this one could turn out to be sneaky good.

I would have to agree: blowing this off as nonsense right off the bat may be short sighted. It is a fact that running is essentially falling forward. Folks with a better center of gravity and balance have an advantage.
Of course, it could turn out to be complete BS; but it is an interesting hypothesis.
I also do no not think is necessarily racist to study physiological differences between races.

Fedor is getting older and has not been fighting the higher end guys, but he can still throw hands. In my eyes this was simply a tacticle error. BJJ guys are always dangerous on the ground, so why the hell does he stay down there in the first place?
White's smugness is annoying to be sure, but failing to take on an actual contender has taken the Last Emporer down a notch and given his naysayers undo cred. I think we will all get robbed if we can't see Fedor against the best the UFC can put out there.

Zapping the guy was overkill; but, given the heightened security fears in our day and age, he/we should not be surpised by extreme uses of force.
Running on to the field is stupid and dangerous, not to mention cliche.

I prefer (NFL) football over all other sports, but the playoffs in the NHL are still tops in major sports. And hockey players have to be some of the toughest dudes on earth, eh (sorry, couldn't help myeslf).

What I saw on that video was an assualt: and until someone gets punished criminally, stuff like this will continue to happen.
The Juniors have a reputation for this.

The Jets are on a nice roll, to be sure, but there was some inexplicable/self-destructive behavior on the Chargers side of the ball that contributed to the "upset". I don't see the Colts making those same mistakes. Indy by 6 or more.

The play selection at the end was ugly and unnecessary and I didn't like it even though I am a Vikings fan and former season ticket holder.
However, Brookings behavior was pretty damn boorish too.

You can be "sick" and still be "guilty"...either way you are responsible for your own actions. Having said that, I think it's time we let this story fade away now.

I was born and raised in Cincy, so my disdain for the Steelers runs deep. I actually thought Porter was bigger punk though. At least Ward keeps his cheap hits on the field .

I have to agree with THX: the only "real" native people are American Indians. I come from German Immigrants; my wife came from Swedish Immigrants; you came from (insert ethinicity or nation of origin here) and we all get to be "real" Americans.
Add this to the fact that the guy lived here most of his life and all of his running life and the case is closed.
Rovell is an a*hole who thinks anyone with a weird name (by his standards) isn't as American as himself.

I live along a road that is used heavily by both commuters and cyclists, and I use that road for both purposes myself. As a motorist I get annoyed like anyone else when cyclists are disrespectful or disobey traffic laws; and as a cyclist I cannot believe the audacity with which some poeple operate a motor vehicle. It is pretty obvious that they don't give a damn about anyone else around them as long as they get where they are going on time.
What it ultimately comes down to is that the Dr was a loose nut and should be locked up for his actions. He has the right to be pissed at ignorant or disrespectful cyclists, but he does not have the right to assualt them with his car.

To the people out there who think that the trash talk from Hout justified a sucker punch, what the heck are you smoking? I disdain trash talk, but it is an almost ubiquitous action in college (and pro) sports; and it most certainly does not warrant that reaction.
I feel sorry for Blount, as the kid obviously has some serious issues. Ironically, his actions after the initial punch are more telling to me than the punch itself. He postively lost it and I think he should be suspended for the season or removed from the team altogether. I hope "indefinite" becomes definite, and I hope he gets help for whatever it is that ails him.
