Isn't a comapnay that is involved in the stock market and finacial investment having policies against gambling kind of hypocritical?

oh and I knew I would get sick real fast of hearing them tell us about how wonderful Brett Favre is.
Just glad John Madden wasn't in that booth too!

More proof that Mike McCarthy is a dumba**. He didn't think the guy was needed anymore for them to be a winning team. Yet he can't figure out how to stop the guy from winning against him.

Exactly they mentioned him (by pointing out they weren't mentioning him) to sell magazines.

I'm interested to see how he is treated when he goes to Green Bay to play them.
In my opinion it would be funny (as well as ironic) if by that time Rogers is sidelined with an injury.

I agree that it looks childish. But "disrespectful to the game, the other players and former players"??? Besides, who knows maybe the fire inside him that makes him act that way is the reason hes the best golfer. How is is it disrepectful to anyone else when you slam your club down on the ground and curse when you hit a bad shot? what a dumb article.

Well, he's easy to forget when someone steps in for him and wins all those games for the Packers like last year. I mean how many games did they win with Rogers? 5? And so many come from behind victories too!

So how is not taking the field going to be good for your career? He's gonna get traded thats how & hes gonna get to play 2nd which is what he wants & hes gonna still be considered a great hitting second baseman rather than a poor fielding, weak armed left fielder who doesnt deserve the big $ cuz he's not a great hitting outfielder.

Good Post bperk. I agree. With the nature of free agency in baseball if you worry about what the team wants over what you want, you're screwing yourself and your ability to improve your earning capacity. Ask the manager if he wants to get paid the same but be the first base coach instead. He'll say "hell no Im a better manager and I would be hurting my ability to make more $$ in the future"

I blame Selig for Bonds as much as Bonds himself. Absolutely! Lots of people have gotten rich by pretending not to see. Where would Dusty Baker be if not for Bary Bands and Sammy Sosa out of a job thats where. And Tony La Russa (McGwire & Canseco helped him launch) his career) and the players agents and the owners of the teams. What I dont understand is why the "clean" players arent out o solve the problem as they lose starting positions, jobs and $$$$ to the cheaters. Instead they keep their mouths shut. Of course TV networks and ESPN make money from covering the homerun chases too. And then when the story breaks they make money from covering the "scandal" Funny huh? And with regard to "facts" Bonds' change in appearance is a fact in and of itself on which i can make my own judgment as are personal eyewitnesses to him taking the stuff. But if you need your type of facts he would have to use it in your presence I guess.

Not guilty until proven otherwise only applies in a court of law. We can believe he is guilty and if you believe hes not on steroids youre a fool. The man is a cheat and a fraud and he has made a mockery of the game and has become rich by cheating. (as have many others) & BTW baseball players dont get an advantage by breaking the speed limit in their cars so thats just dumb analogy. He didnt fail tests because he was taking masking agents to prevent positive tests.

As a Bears fan I hate saying this . But if the Vikes can't beat Chicago, they should automatically be diisqualified from the post season.
And Favre should immediately announce his retirement.
Although It would be smart to play Favre in a limited capacity the rest of the way, IMO. Give the backups some work - just in case.
They could win vs Chi with either of the backups playing. As long as the defense holds on the int's Cutler throws to their Def. backs
