Attempting to compare basketball and soccer related injuries is about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Let's not forget why "la marque a trois bandes" was started. It sure as hell wasn' t for basketball. Coming down from a header on grass and coming down from a board/jump shot/layup/blocked shot onto a hardword floor are two completely different things. Let the man chose what he wants to protect his ankles with. Adidas makes shitty basketball shoes; they always have.

"Come on, now, Jay-Z doesn't suck. "Reasonable Doubt" is one of the best hip-hop albums ever. It is okay to like Public Enemy and Jay-Z." I agree wholeheartedly. Easily in the top 15, maybe even 10. Lyrical genius mixed with a classiness seldom matched by other rappers.

"It was one of the best moments of the year. Actually two of the best moments of the year. First when Barry walked out on the field with Christopher Laub, the young man who inspired him and then that epic first at-bat when it looked like he'd knocked his first dong of the season." "People love to hate on Barry, I don't know why. He just doesn't take any shit from the media." Thank you!! Give the guy some freakin credit. I love that he gives people more reasons to hate him. Especially when that reasoning is that he's just a damn good baseball player.

"Either everybody's guilty, or no one at all." 'That doesn't make any sense. Care to explain your thinking?' What's so unclear about my comment?? There is plenty of evidence showing that players from all eras have used PHD. Speed enhances performance. Methanphetamines enhance performance. Unless officials are ready to shut down the game of baseball and/or invent news ways of testing on a DAILY BASIS you'd be a damn fool to think that doping is not present and will not continue till the end of time. So.......Unless we are ready to admit that EVERYBODY uses some form of enhancement (whether it be illegal today or in two years) we don't have the right to point fingers at anybody in particular. I don't give a shit if somebody got caught or not. Everybody's guilty of it in some shape, form, or fashion. I think it's sad, and I'm not defending anybody but it's the truth. Live with it or give up on baseball....... hell, give up on all sports, little league on up.

"Regardless of whether Bonds did steroids or not (IMO he probably did, just as a large percentage of players have), he is still a tremendously gifted hitter." Thank you, JohnSFO. Everybody seems to forget how many players actually used and still use performance enhancing drugs. Let's not point any fingers cuz there's a whole lot more than 10 players breaking the rules. Either everybody's guilty, or no one at all.

Why Diving Makes Soccer Great
Thierry did pull a nice stunt (later claimed that he grabbed his face as a reaction to the GENERAL PAIN-yeah right). In Les Bleus' defense, though, Puyol used his elbow to block Henry out and in fact fouled him, whether the fall was totally embellished or not. They would've gotten the free kick and the outcome would've been the same. Still a shame to see someone of Henry's class acting like such a child. Big fat pink card. Until now he actually took pride in distancing himself from that aspect of the game. Saturday against Brazil should be one of the best finals games we've seen in a long time in the WC. Remember 86.
