"The King" Thinks women should not be in Racing

I have no problem with Petty's opinion. Judging by what's happened up until now, he's absolutely correct about women not being able to consistantly be competitive in a field of pros.

Sorry Coach my ADD was acting up?

I'll put all of this to rest. If anybody has seen last night's Clippers/Suns Game 5, you all will remeber the play that Sam Cassell made, or I should say didn't make. Sam couldn't cross the half court line in the allowed 8 seconds, and therefore, caused a crucial turnover which helped seal the deal for the Suns, and also gave them a 3-2 series lead. This is the conf. semi-finals of the NBA playoffs we're talking about. Not game #42 or whatever it was of a 162-game MLB season. If Cassell's completely un-excusable mistake in the Overtime does not get a discussion, why the fuck are we talking about LaRoche's little mishap.

Switch pitcher

I think it would be a dominant pitcher if they can throw 90 from each side

RACE for the mvp

AS much as I'd love to see Kobe win the MVP, I don't think race had anything to do with the decision, as someone already brought up Avery Johnson got the Coach of the year, even though D'antoni or even Phil JAckson could have had the prize!

Can the Pistons be Stopped?

When playoff time comes, Ben Wallace's poor free-throw shooting will get the best of Detroit. Not to say they will suffer an early exit, but that's what eventually will knock them out. I think their 2nd round match-up with Cleveland will be too much for them to handle.

No Stuporsonics in Seattle?

As far as I'm concerned, I just hope that they keep them somewhere in the West. Being a LAKER fan I like the idea of playing the Sonics four times a year.

Your 2006 NBA MVP is?

There is no player more deserving of the MVP this year then Kobe Bryant. I can't even add to anything that's already been said about Kobe mentioned in the comments prior to mine. You obviously have to know a lot about sports to participate in our discussions, and by far the most to back any one player has been said about KOBE. I rest my case. If he doesn't get it this year, I'd love to publically hang the voters that don't give him their say!!!!!!!!

Back to Basketball... who's the MVP?

Kobe may have a Robin, but LBJ has Ilgauskas who's an all-star, and a center who demands major attention which makes it much easier for Lebron to work in the lane. Kobe doesn't. Cavs also have Larry Hughes who's a former all-star, and still a good player, and most importantly in my mind they have a proven point guard in Eric Snow who knows how to run an offense very well. Lakers have no such luxury in having anything close to a point guard. The closest they've got is Robin(LAMAR ODOM) and he plays a different position. Over all the CAVS have better talent on the team then the LAKERS, and that is why they are having the better season. I can't argue that Lebron is a great player and is having his best season so far, but I think we're all so spoiled by Kobe's performances that we tend to forget about just how great he is. Also, I don't think that Lebron could do as well if he had as much pressure as Kobe does to produce points.

Take Me Out to the Brawl Game

I'm not sure that Pedro intentionally aims for the NOGGEN, but now that he is in the National league, pitchers who face pedro as a batter have to use their opportunities to let him find out how good it feels to get hit by a 90 m/ph pitch in the thigh? For all of you who've never stood in the box, it does not feel good at all.

Back to Basketball... who's the MVP?

What's wrong with everybody? Doesn't anyone remember KOBE? I think it is outrageous that people don't recognize him as at least one of the leaders to get the award, let alone winning it. I think KOBE is the most dominant player in the league who has an enormous effect on his team's play. Just compare the Lakers with Kobe in the lineup, and without. No need to mention the 81 point game, and the 62 in three quarters. Think of this Jordan was MVP what? 6 times, i think and his career high is a dozen less then Kobe's. There have been others who have scored more then MJ in one game, but all of those have won the award. Also, as of the next game that the Lakers will play, Kobe will also pass MJ's record for points in one season, discounting Wilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!
