Drood- excellent preview and glad to say I look forward to more of your writing about F1. I am very interested to see what happens without TC, should seperate some of the pretenders with deep pockets backing them from the skilled drivers. I agree generally with your predictions. However, I feel BMW will surprise you and get a win and place a very close third in the constructor's championship. Love the quote from Despain by the way. Thanks again for the preview and finally the real racing season is about to begin.

Well I decided to keep the article more light and airy in tone. Personal comments I can stick the boot in. Based on my borderline obsessive viewing of onboard footage from the last few seasons, the one person who REALLY abused the TC was Mark Webber. At Williams and Red Bull, you seemed to hear it with him more than anyone else. Curious to see how he fares. There are only two guys in F1 as far as I'm aware who have ever driven an F1 car WITHOUT TC. Those would be Rubens Barrichello and David Coulthard. I am still amazed I called the drivers title right in my preview last year! Will be updating my website before the race weekend starts. Basically a primer as to my opinions on guys. Basically a "Like" and "Loathe" list.:) Glad you liked the preview.

Excellent preview, Drood. Shame you didn't do one for MotoGP (or if you did, I missed it.) I've always been an F1 person, but these days I find MotoGP more interesting to watch.

I just can't get into MotoGP. I've tried but two wheels just don't do it for me I'm afraid. It's a shame as I really DO want to like it, but it just doesn't hold my attention. Which is a shame as having read up on it, the sport, from a technological standpoint, is very similar to early 90's F1. Thanks for the kind words.
