The Buck Stops Here: For the first time since 1960, there won't be a Buck in a Cardinals broadcast booth this year.
This Cardinals fan won't miss him. He is careful to project this PC image, carefully distancing himself from the Cardinals, then he (and McCarver) can't wait to give all of his love to the Yankees. Note to Joe: unbiased means showing no favoritism to ANY team.

Joe has to save time to pursue his acting career. Still his best work to date.

It will be good to see/ hear more of Rick Horton. He's got a great voice and excellent baseball knowledge. I would rather Hrabosky part ways with the Redbird booth-- he's a pompous buffoon.

Also have to agree with cardsfan that Hrabosky is a buffoon. His antics on the mound were somewhat entertaining - his commentary in the booth is simply annoying.

Since when does an opinion require documentation?

Jack Buck was the best announcer ever. Joe? not even close! Why is it that we have to compare him to his father? He is a fine announcer. one of the best in the business today. The job has changed. You have to be a little PC today in order to get respect. This isn't 1964. But I digress. The point is that he shouldn't have to live up to his HOFer father. I don't think anyone could possibly live up to Jack Buck. Because of that, I will miss hearing Joe and Tim spar in the booth when the game lags. I wish him well, but I also wish him back.

Still can't believe he rooted for the Yanks in the 2006 playoffs (divison series), apathetic about the Redbirds. Jack was spinning in his grave.
