USADA loses its first case.: The Arbitration Panel in the case of sprinter LaTasha Jenkins voids positive test results because of lab violations of testing protocols.

Interesting that she got off using an argument similar to one made by Landis. Difference may be she focused on one specific violation rather than throwing multiple arguments at the Panel as the Landis' team did.

Difference may be she focused on one specific violation rather than throwing multiple arguments at the Panel as the Landis' team did. Or maybe that she was actually telling the truth. That is what the USADA gets for bringing charges on an athlete after a test that was taken in another country! I am glad that they finally lost one, lets hope they learn something from it.

Um...you can't prove a negative, jojo.

If I read the article correct, it doesn't prove she didn't take anything, just that the lab violated protocols by having the same techs test the other sample, right?

lil'red, as lil_brown_bat pointed out, it is impossible for the athlete to prove that they never took steroids. The athlete can only prove that the test was improperly run and thus that the results have to be thrown out.
