Corrales vs. Castillo 1 was the best fight I've seen in the last three years. By most accounts that I've read, Corrales was pretty much done though. He served time, and lost three or four fights after getting out and had pretty much gone of the map. Too bad to get back on it in this manner.

A few things that jump out from that remarkable video: * That was undoubtedly the best round I've seen in the past few years. It's also why I enjoy the lower weights so much more than heavyweight -- skill and speed vs. bombs and clutching. * That referee deserves a medal. He didn't stop the fight prematurely, he docked a fighter a point in the 10th round of a close match and he stepped in when he had to to protect a disabled man. Bravo. * I love the ring mic catching Corrales's trainer telling him, "You gotta fuckin' get inside on him now!" I'd say he succeeded. * Corrales's trainer also had on the ugliest shirt I've ever seen. Had he just come from a hoedown? Weedy's right. It's sad we only remember these good bouts when someone dies or goes to prison.

Knockdowns aside, there were nine rounds before that one that were just as good. Though the shirt doesn't get any prettier.

You know, when anyone dies at 29 it is tragic, let alone a great fighter like Corrales. His comeback championship knockout of Castillo has been described as one of the great fights of all time. However, some people should not be allowed near a motorcycle,at least until they have had some safety training.I blame the dealer or whoever for allowing a hot shot inexperienced rider access to a racing bike.I've been riding for 40 years and I would have been scared of that bike.
