So You Think You Can ... : Steer a Boat and Scream Encouragement at Very High Volume? Then you might be the winner of China's latest reality television show, which promises a chance to be an Olympic coxswain in 2008.
Of course, you'll also need to be a Chinese citizen. And under 100 pounds.
I meet one of the four crieteria. That's right, I weigh 68 pounds. (Tragically, I was born without a mouth.)

It really shouldn't be that hard should it? Too bad they have to be chinese, my daughter is under 100lbs. and can scream like a bansee. Maybe I could make her a citizen without here knowing it?

Things I know about rowing: a) Steve Redgrave wasn't bad, b) I had a go on a machine last night for the first time, did 2000 metres in 8:50, and felt like I might barf. As you can see, I mean it when I say 'I'm no expert' here, but surely one of the key factors in selecting a coxswain is whether or not the people with the oars like their style, is it not? Maybe they're going to involve some of the rowing team in the selection process, but if not, it's a bit of a waste of valuable time putting a cox in that no one likes, just because they won a shouting competition. That said, I'll be needing a Chinese passport and my legs amputated, please.
