Will the Cream(er) Rise to the top? : Paula sets her sites on this weeks US Womens Open while fighting through injuries and and a hectic schedule. I like her chances, and the last Womens Major was very exciting. (Don't count out the Big Weisy).

I suspect that Creamer's not going to win a whole lot this year, but only because she's in the process of retooling her swing for professional purposes. Next year will be a great one for her, just because she'll have the time through the winter to fix everything up. If she's gotten stronger, then the rest is mechanics and getting used to the grind of a full pro schedule. All the teen phenoms who've made their debuts in the last couple of years are going to have to deal with that at some point, and if Creamer's willing to put the time and effort in (and it sure looks like she is), then this should turn out to be a rare low point in a long career. I hope she does well, but I wouldn't bet the farm on her. Se Ri Pak has come back well, and Brittany Lang impressed me when I watched her last week, but I'm a drop-in-drop-out watcher, interested but not committed.

You are well informed for a drop-in-drop-out watcher, chico. Paula shot a final round 79 last year to finish in a t19, seven shots out, and I think her game is well suited for majors. Should be an interesting Sunday 36 hole finish, as todays first round was "fogged out".
