Schumacher is back to his winning ways: having now won two races in a row. Fernando Alonso doesn't seem to like it much. Japanese driver Yuji Ide has been demoted to test driver for the Super Aguri team after the sport's governing body suggested he wasn't really up to the task and should get some more miles under his belt in the test car before he is allowed to race again.

Schumi is back to his winning ways for sure. He's got his teammate neatly giving way at the start, and the classic 3-lap sprint to overtake in the pits. Three races ago he looked done. Now he's back in the thick of it. A second spirited drive from Nico Rosberg, from the back of the pack to a points finish. I don't quite understand why he didn't do a one-stopper, his first stop being well past half distance. He would have finished 5th easily.

As a fan of 20 years, yesterday was one of the crappiest races I've ever seen. Why the hell do all Schumacher wins have to be so dull? As David Hobbs said on Speed's coverage. "Heaven forbid there should be an overtaking move on the track." Pitiful "race". Glad I taped it. With 23 laps to go, I turned it off and checked the result online. Something which would have been unthinkable to me a couple of years ago.

Bernie Ecclestone should be exiled to a go cart track in Iraq

Wow, I totally forgot about the race this past weekend. Oh well, from some of the comments, looks like I didn't miss much. Just curious....what was Jenson's excuse this time? Where did he finish?

Jenson blew up, or rather his car did. Then he bitched about it being crap all weekend when interviewed. That boy needs a lesson in diplomacy. A good punching. One or the other. Oh yeah, Rubens outqualified him as well. Nice to see I'm not alone in my thoughts on Jenson. After him trying to kill his pitcrew in Imola I dubbed it "Another entry in the Jenson Button Bumper Book of Excuses". It's always the fault of something else. "It was the tyres." "It was the engine." "It was the back markers." "It was my time of the month." The guy's hopeless, end of story. A British driver DID do well this weekend. That would be Lewis Hamilton in GP2. If Britain wants to hitch it's wagon to a train that's actually going somewhere, Lewis looks like the sensible choice. And the race was shit. Another bloody race decided in the pits, just like all Schumacher victories, because he's too much of a pussy to try and pass anyone. Team Skidmark: Completely agree. Ecclestone has done immeasurable good to the sport, but has done just as much damage IMO.

him trying to kill his pitcrew in Imola Let's be fair, the guy raised the lollypop. You're supposed to go, especially when you've been losing places on every pitstop since the begining of the season. Other than that, it does seem that Jenson went to the Jacques Villeneuve school of public relations.

Another bloody race decided in the pits, just like all Schumacher victories, because he's too much of a pussy to try and pass anyone. Let's be fair - he has won a lot of races without having to overtake anyone because he tended to out-qualify everyone in years gone by. But to say that all his victories came from pit strategy and that he's too much of a pussy to pass anyone is clearly bollocks, is it not?

I love that the FIA told Ide he wasn't up to it - I can't think of another sport where the governing body has stepped in to say "Nah, mate, you're crap, away and practice some more before you come back and try again." Then again, I don't suppose you tend to endanger the lives of other people by being crap at crown green bowling.
