Hidden: Tony "PTI" Kornheiser named to MNF booth,: along with Mike Tirico and Joe Theismann. Not sure about this trio, especially Kornheiser, although I do like watching him and Michael Wilbon duke it out on "PTI" each afternoon on ESPN. Al Michaels did an about-face on his earlier pledge to say with MNF and jumped to NBC. It was a complete alphabet-soup shuffle in the world of sports broadcasting.

As much as I like MMF, It seems like it is going downhill as a television series. Does ESPN think there are more people that have cable than those that don't? I ask because while those that watch ESPN will be all over MMF, I am sure that is still fewer than would watch if it remained on free tv. Maybe it is "downsixing" in that it is looking to get a cmaller audience but a more consistend one. My name ain't Neilson, but somehow I don't see this working as well as they hope.
