Who's The Bastard In The Black?: Ex-English Premiership referee Jeff Winter says what he really thinks in a new book. Red cards for Fergie, and the unhealthy influence of big clubs. Conspiracy theorists, you may not be paranoid after all!

It doesn't suprise me one bit......to see that Jeff Winter is an attention-seeking twat.

I always liked Jeff's facial hair and fondness for pies.

Unless it's in the FA Cup when the real minnows meet Premiership clubs, I don't see much bias from refs in the English leagues. Even in those cases where calls may go the way of the smaller clubs, it just seems to be a subconcious desire to see an underdog do well, but nothing overt. Some refs are just crap, no question, but I don't think refs in England generally go into a game with an agenda. Germany, Portugual, Italy and Brazil? That's a different story.

"In the Manchester derby the other week we saw Wayne Rooney chasing the ref yet again..."
