Robbie Fowler coming home to Liverpool: I don't think the Reds will break the bank on this one.

Now that Cisse has been cautioned for assaulting his pregnant wife, Fowler may actually see some playing time.

Without wanting to sound like I don't care about Cisse knocking his missus about - how is this going to affect his position in the team (or on the bench)? My understanding is that he was cautioned and released. As for getting Fowler back - he should never have been sold in the first place.

Perhaps he'll sniff the sidelines again?

It's not a loan. Man City have given him a free transfer and he's signed a short term contract until the end of the season at Liverpool. I'm looking forward to watching him play for the Scousers again. He's always seemed kind of out of place at Leeds and City.

What the? Wow, that's cool. He seems to have sharpened up on the physical and mental conditioning while at Man City, altho he's been pushed aside by Vassell and Cole. I expect he'll be a nice wildcard, supersub kinda player that Rafa can slot in as needed.

btw, don't feel bad about Robbie's pay cut. According to Soccernet: "Leeds have confirmed they are still paying the former England striker a wage. ... [A]s part of the agreement which took him to Manchester City, Leeds agreed to keep paying Fowler a proportion of his wages, to make up for the shortfall which came with moving to Eastlands. Leeds chief operating officer Shaun Harvey told the Yorkshire Post that agreement would stand until the summer, the time Fowler's contract at Leeds was originally due to expire." Robbie knows how to take care of himself.

What's up with Morientes? Why doesn't Benitez play him more often? Is Crouch that good?

Is Crouch that good No.

Morientes isn't any better than Crouch from what i've seen... They both suck...

Look at Sunday's match, Morientes is not getting the few shots he takes anywhere near the inside of the frame. Frankly I don't understand why he's getting so much playing time ahead of Cisse and FSP. Also, if Fowler's body and head are in the right place, I expect Cisse to be sold before tomorrow midnight.
