Lampard shortlisted for FIFA "World Player of the Year" award ...: Hot on the heals of his record-breaking 160th consecutive appearance in the Premiership, Chelsea's Frank Lampard joins Barcelona's Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o on the short list for the FIFA award. Lampard was last year's footballer of the year in England last season, and was second to Ronaldinho for the European award.

Interesting that two Barca players made the list. They've been very strong, after a short early rough road, as evidenced by the 3-0 result over Real Madrid the weekend before last. Does everyone agree that they're the early favorites to win the Champions League or will Chelsea or Liverpool find away to shut them down?

As good as Lampard and Eto'o are, Ronaldinho is simply a class above everyone else. The man is a phenomenal player, and well on course to becoming one of the all-time greats. And he's still, what, 25?

If there's any doubt about Ronaldinho's skillz, watch this Nike video. and these.

If he wasn't a footballer, he'd make a living as Jar Jar Binks' body double.

I first saw the Nike video about a month ago...that is sick. I don't see how Ronaldinho doesn't win this award...and then be mistaken for the next Kentucky Derby entry.

And Ronaldinho has won it again.
