All the way, the "Bobby way": Valentine takes the Chiba Lotte Marines to the Japan Series title (and the hearts and boardrooms of Japan).

Agreed. That's a great story.

Such a different country. And not just because they sell six-packs at the stadium.

He's still a twerp - ask Cliff Floyd!

He's still a twerp By "He's still," you mean "He continues to be?" What he's doing right now doesn't seem too twerpish, and I'd be surprised if Floyd keeps up with him enough to know what he's "still" like, years after their spat. If Floyd was to tell you Valentine's still a twerp, I'd say he's talking out of his ass. I'd tell him to read the article. I'd tell him to grow up. I'd tell you the same, knuckleballer. That's four years and 3,000 miles ago.

After Valentine took over, the Marines' attendance tripled -- to 1.3 million spectators this year. Here's the key to why corporate leaders respect the accomplishment. Which is fine, I think the Bobby Way as explained in the article is the right way to lead.
