The post season run of the Twins come to an end.: The outstanding pitching staff could overcome inconsistent offence and poor defence. The Twin played in a league high 57 one run games. Loosing thirty of those games. This a good breakdown of what needs to be done this winter if the Twins want to compete in for the Division Title next year.

Try being a Royals fan for a couple seasons posted by kcfan4life at 7:38 PM CST on September 22 The Royals dont have the monoply on bas seasons. I have suffered through many a horrid seasons with the my beloved Twinkies. Its nice to see them establishing a winning tradition again! Its was a nice win over the White Sox. Too bas Johan didnt get the Win. He has been lights out again this year but dont have the wins to show for it. He should have over twenty wins, but doesnt because of poor run support.(all 5 of the twins starters near the bottom in the league for run support given). He still will get his share of Cy Young votes

Well if it's any concilation, I had the twinkies picked to win it all at the beginning of the year. I did not see the Indians or White Sox even on the map. Twins just got hit with the injury bugs, their young studs were still a little greener than expected and they plum just didn't play well. There's still hope, though. A lot of that talent isn't going anywhere.

the big key for next year is to add some veteran bats. The Pitcing is going to be lights out

I agree with you daddisamm, Johan didn't get squat for support, but the Indians had the same problem also. Especially early on in the year, Westbrook, Elarton, and Millwood couldn't buy any run support there for april or may, and part of june. None of them are as lights out as Johan, but damn good pitchers in their own right.

It's a shame of course but all good things have to come to an end eventually. Being a Cub fan and knowing most seasons are over as soon as they begin, I don't feel any sadness towards any other team not going to the post-season
