First the Olympics, then the NFL. : At least that's the hope for multitalented Jeremy Bloom, a moguls skier on the US Ski Team and 2002 Olympian. Last season's World Cup winner, Bloom gained wider fame (or notoriety) when the NCAA refused to allow him to play football for CU while he was accepting endorsement money related to his skiing. Bloom opted to give up his career with the Buffs, where he was a special-teams standout as a kick returner -- but he hasn't given up football forever. If the NCAA won't let him play, he figures he can always try the NFL.

He's really an amazing athlete , I just hope he doesn't get injured skiing before making some money in the NFL .

He is an amazing athlete - who probably weighs about 185 lbs soaking wet. Kick returner? He'll be crushed into a fine powder that will mist away in a light breeze. Unless..... He comes up to the Great White North and plays him some CFL Ball!!! Come on Jeremy - hell, you'll still get hurt, but it'll be tons o' fun.

There's been some tiny kick returners who had success in the NFL . Steve Tasker, Don Beebe and Phil McConkey come to mind . Bloom is in the same mold but faster .

The injury rate for returners is ridiculous even for the NFL but I expect that Bloom will hit the weight rooms and bulk up before his first training camp. Good luck, dude.
