Chelsea offers GBP54.5M for Ronaldinho?: Agent denies it, then says, "But don't be surprised if it happens." 54.5M? We'd need to sell two Steve Gerrards to afford that! Oh. Never mind.

Never happen...

Just goes to show how high Gerrard really stands in the scheme of things. Chelsea offered 32M for his, barely half of this (rumored) fee. Still, I'd love to see him come to the EPL since that would mean I'd get to actually seem him play regularly. So, Bellamy to Blackburn, Park to ManU, those are the two big (okay recognizable) name transfers so far in the EPL. Scolari to Inter, Vieri to Milan. Robhino holding out from Santos to get to Real Madrid. What quality purchases am I missing given the crap coverage over here? Any good sites beyond BBC and Soccernet where I can find better news?

Liverpool had basically agreed terms with Figo until Real screwed things up. Also looks like we'll get Peter Beanpole Crouch. And we're gonna steal Sissoko outta Everton's hands!

Maybe if Setvie G could eat an apple through a tennis racket he'd be worth that much too.

HOw much are Robinho and Adriano going for? Lazyweb, hope me!

Robhino is in the GBP15M range but seems to have his heart set on Real Madrid kit, Arsenal made a run and were told off (or so I read). Adriano, forget him after the Confederation Cup scoring splurge, Inter will require Gerrard and Cisse in exchange.

Maldini, if memory serves, the Community Shield is a PPV event costing $20-$25. I've sent a note to soccertv.com asking for current information and I'll post the response here.
