So who will win the Cup of Nations this year? (The official site is down as I write). Two times winners Cameroon still have to be favourites, but the Super Eagles are laconically dangerous, Senegal have the tightest defence and hosts Mali have surprised, drawing with Nigeria and overturning South Africa, en route ...
I'd agree that it hasn't been the most exciting football ever. That's one of the reasons I waited until after the quarters to start the thread, cuz now you have four pretty decent teams left in. I found this page which lists all the TV stations carrying the cup (including the states), in case anyone is interested in watching the last three games (look in the left hand sidebar). Yeah those shirts just aren't right, somehow.

I'd probably say that man for man, Nigeria are the best. This is a good pointer for the world cup, what with Cameroon being in Ireland's group and Nigeria in England's. Senegal are showing that their qualification was no fluke. I admit I haven't been following as closely as I should have. I saw a couple of early group games and they were terrible. Final note: what is it with those Cameroon shirts? They look more suited for Aussie rules! I hope FIFA amend the rules to say that the shirts have to have sleeves.
