She's the first? I figured someone would have won it already. Well, alright then. Good on her. I've only read a couple of her pieces, but she's plenty good enough. I'll have to read that interview later, but thanks for the link, LBB.

I also found the text of an interview with the Washington Press Club, which includes an awful lot of distilled wisdom on various subjects, including sports culture, sportswriting and journalism in general. Really, really great read.
