best quote: "Drinking goes part and parcel with darts...But I'm cutting back to as much I can." His initial goal is to reduce his daily intake of beer to 12 bottles.

Darts really is a bloody weird "sport". It's like pantomime, but with morbidly obese men throwing pointy things at a wall.

As opposed to morbidly obese men pretending to be morbidly obese women and throwing magic beans in the ground whilst frightening the children you mean? Darts is a wonderful game - I was in the pub the other night and played for the first time in a couple of years - then, when I got home, the world championships was still on the TV. It was only having had a go that I really began to appreciate the talent those fellas have - not just for throwing the pointy things, but for doing the math!

More importantly though - if you were a professional darts player, what would your nickname be?

Eschewing the obvious battleship and "Otto" references, ("The Iron Chancellor" doesn't translate to darts too well), Aleks 'The Baron' Bismarck has a suitably daft ring to it.

I think if I had 25 beers first it my nickname would be "the impaler"

"Fordham has got to lose the whole of Julie Goodyear (11st 12lb) and half of Paul Ross (14st 5lb). Hands up who hopes it’s the half with the mouth on. " As Ross has made a career of talking out of his arse, I have hands down.

Chris2sy took my first choice, so I'll go with Vlad.
