The Rules: all football clubs have rules, some are more secret than others. Brentfords manager has spilled the beans; if he gets into a scrap he gets fined £100, whereas a player who uses a sunbed gets fined a fiver.

no dissing of ground and club staff - £20 I didn't realize the word "diss" was used outside of middle school. That's another reason I love the British..

Critising a player publicly £100 Publicly saying how good we are, that we will win the game or League £100 Post-match interviews must be an expensive business if you're not allowed to praise or criticize your players.

Nice link FB. I'd missed that. I like the fact that Allen routinely fines them for being booked for dissent. It should be more draconian though.

there's always a way around the rules...especially those that try and stamp out negative comments. last month in india, australian cricketer jason gillespie told the world's press after the third test in mumbai - 'I'm not allowed to criticise the pitch, but a mate of mine told me it was a disgrace'.
