Farewell Captain Socceroo: Johnny Warren, the heart and soul of Australian football, dies after a long battle with cancer. 'I'm one nil down with 15 minutes to play', he said a few months ago. 'He leaves a hole bigger than we can measure' says Andy Harper. Johnny Warren might not mean much to North Americans or Europeans, but to Australian soccer fans and players, he was the greatest.

I feel bad that no one commented here...but i don't know who this guy is. Don't we have any Australians here?

Can't say I'd ever heard of the bloke. It sounds like he did a lot of good work for football in Australia though. Fair dinkum cobber.

SF, I think the closest is Rogerd, who (a) hasn't been around much lately and (b) is from New Zealand. There's an increasing number of good athletes coming from that part of the world and some events there too, so it would be nice to get some fresh blood from the area. Maybe we should buy some Google AdWords to promote SpoFi.
