Sun in the east, Storm in the west. : Was I right or was I right? ;-)

The Sun trashed the Liberty in the East final; the Storm took a little more work to dispose of the Monarchs, but had a commanding victory last night, based on some good work from the bench, 27 points including six threes from LJ, and a double-double from Sue Bird. Both teams are first-timers in the WNBA final, and both remarkable success stories -- the Sun only in its second season as a franchise.

In the final, I give game one to the Sun, based on a)home court advantage, b)extra rest (they took the Liberty out in two), and c)they're just really firing on all cylinders now. I predict the Storm will win in three, but the Sun will put up quite a fight.

You were right, though I don't see the Sun winning at all. That break is going to work against them, and the Storm will win close in game one, and they'll roll when they get back. I'm hoping for three games, but only because I want to see more games. Next year, they're going best-of-five in the finals, and that's a good start. I watched last night's game in my local watering hole, and after the Yankees game and the debate ended, everyone in the bar started watching and got absolutely into it. (Lot of Sue Bird fans in Queens, apparently.)
