Peter Ebdon clinches the title of Embassy World Snooker Champion in a "brilliant and tense" match. The final was, as usual, between two British Players. Does anyone outside of the UK care about Snooker?
That's not saying much, though: the Arsenal-Chelsea final had nothing that you'd want from the FA Cup. No regional rivalry (unless you really think the country stops at London); no underdog to cheer on; no 'story of the Cup'. As for Ebdon, it was good to see him win, just because I've tracked his career from having luxurious hair to being nigh-on cueball-headed.

Britons certainly love the sport - the final pulled in more viewers than the FA cup final!
