Out with the old...: in with the new. Can Doc Rivers save the Celts? More Inside...

Is it me or is Doc running into the same situation he had in Orlando? 1 All Star and a squad of also rans? Paul Pierce's supporting cast may be a shade better than McGrady's but with GM Danny-boy at the helm; this has the potential to get real ugly real fast.

I think the Celts have a real chance to be worse next year. Mark Blount did an Ugly Duckling->Swan act this year. It's going to be wonderful to watch him playing for Jim O'Brien next year. Too bad they'll both be in Philly.

I think Doc Rivers could have found a better opportunity than this. Every Ainge move has been a PR, salary cap and basketball nightmare. yerfatma, I think they're getting a lot worse next year. Like Orlando-level futility.

I agree -was Rivers that desperate for a job? I thought he'd have a few options afforded to him, let alone chose this team.

Old Doc Rivers, that old Doc Rivers, he just keeps rollin', just keeps movin' along!

Dammit, he was one of my preferred candidates to coach the Raptors. I guess they need to hire a GM before they can hire a coach.
