Swingers Club.: According to this article in the latest Wired magazine, golfers are improving their scores by playing video games, on hundred-dollar systems as well as full-blown $50K simulators (which incidentally use pretty much the same software as the hundred-dollar home systems, with a few enhancements). Has this worked for you?

JJ, your prescence has been requested in the lockerroom. Tiger Woods on Xbox improved my score from too many to count to a career best 48.

Actually, truth be told, TW 2003 on the X-box did improve my tactical awareness slightly - I am now more aware of it when I'm hitting the wrong shot out on the course.

I agree. Seeing the whole hole, from tee to cup, was an entirely new way to visualize the game, rather than one shot at a time.

Also, when the actual technique of hitting the ball becomes so easy (as it quickly does if you play that game too much), you are freer to think about how to get the ball around the course. Having said all that, I imagine my game would improve a lot faster if I spent as much time at the range as I do playing X-box.

I think my game might improve from playing video golf, if only I weren't still hacking it around on an NES. Old-school Golf kicks butt!
