MLB Active Player Search: : The official Major League Baseball site has a cool search engine for all of the active players for this season. I especially like the "diamond" graphic where you can select the team and see who they have available at each position. Enjoy!
There are some nice features, but I would hardly describe it as awesome. Their subscription services don't work a lot of the time. Their customer service doesn't answer e-mails. Their statistics are sometimes bizarre - they had hitter hit-by-pitches but not walks in their spring training stats, and at least last year they had separate ERAs for pitchers against left-handed batters and right-handed batters. which is impossible. Also, much of the site is just plain unusable with a 56K modem, and the site is too often overwhelmed, as it was opening day.

MLB.com is awesome except for their crappy news articles. It certainly ought to be since it's one of the major components of the Office of the Commisioner's $180 million dollar operating budget. Good link.
