UEFA European Cup Football Results and Qualification: Have you ever wondered how the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Cup-Winners Cup are organised? Wonder why Spain and England get four teams in the Champions League while Scotland get two? Bert Kassies explains all.
I prefer to have all the strongest teams in Europe competing for the title of European Champions. It stands to reason that the team finishing in 4th place in Spain is likely to be better than the champions of Finland. At least every team can potentially win the Champions League. This page is my favourite, as it gives the 5-year UEFA coefficients for each country. You can see, for instance that clubs from Germany, Netherlands, Greece and Switzerland have badly underperformed this year, while French clubs are having a good season. It also shows that England's rating could drop below Italy's in a year or two, since their best two scores were in 99/00 and 00/01.

Yes, i have wondered...and from what i've read....it sucks ass. We have talked about this before, and my view is that Champions League should be just what its called....Champions from each league...not the freakin' 4 top teams of the richest leagues in Europe!! GOD it pisses me off!
