An Orlando Magic season ticket holder had to be shot several times with a stun gun to subdue him after he grabbed and choked the Magic team mascot, Stuff the Magic Dragon, at the end of Friday night's win over the Denver Nuggets.

Wow. Just wow. We Americans really can't hold our liquor. I understand the fan (the father of the father and son team) from last Summer who raced onto Wrigley Field and assaulted a coach was just violated off his probation and into the pen.

McGrady has to be careful. Kicking the ball into the stands twice? When he lost control and forced the officials to restore order, he got the entire crowd into a foul mood, and things got ugly. Nobody except Jeff "Too Drunk to Feel 3-5 Stun Gun Shots" Hawkins is responsible, but McGrady's antics sure didn't help.

Harvey the Hound got off easy compared to this, but many mascots aren't as lucky.

Aw, come on now, leave the Phillie Phantatic out of this one. He's had a rough few days, you know, with that dope stealing his head and running off with it and all. Besides, what's could be better than peacefully sitting at a Phils game, minding your own business with your beer and hot dog, when a big green ball of fur comes on over, takes your hat, throws it 15-20 rows down and then walks away?

Man ... can we get this guy a seat somewhere near the Phillie Fanatic? I found it interesting that the two accounts differ in the number of stun-gun blasts it took to subdue our friendly choker. Wasn't that listed on the post-game stat sheet?
