White Man Can't Jump.: Aaron Boone could be out for the entire 2004 season. He possibly tore his ACL playing basketball on the 16th (a "prohibitive" activity says Cashman).

Kharmic payback for leaving my NL-only roto squad halfway through the season.

A disaster for third base depth in AL-only leagues. A marginal hit to the Yanks' lineup.

I like the fact that we're most concerned about the impact on roto leagues.

There is no one out there for FA's. You have to admit, the idea of Enrique Wilson full time at third... not spectacular. Curse of The [Frozen] Kid! Yeah that's right. Ted Williams' crygenically stored head has invoked a curse upon the Yankees compelling Pettitte to go to the 'Stros, his boyfriend Roger Clemens to unretire to follow him, Wells to go to the Padres, Giambi to have gimpy knees, Bernie to have gimpy knees, Steinbrenner to sign anyone 35 and older, and finally Boone to blow his leg out. /idiot chb sarcasm

Who signed Vinny Castilla? Barring that, maybe Ken Caminiti can juice up and come out of retirement.

Why do I get the feeling that in two days or so, I'll be seeing this headline: "Yanks Trade Five Minor Leaguers for Pujols"

"Yanks Trade Five Minor Leaguers for Pujols" they've got nothing left for prospects, apparently.

WFrazer - that'd be nice :) Well, since they won't have to pay his contract, this isn't so bad. I like Boone and was baffled by his defense in the playoffs and was eager to see what he could do this year, but he wasn't going to be a star so really it's no huge loss. How do you mess up your knee playing hoops anyway?

Off topic, but this the funniest and saddest picture I've seen in a while: From the current Jim Caple column.
