After failing to buy the BoSox, Frank McCourt is trying to buy the Los Angeles Dodgers ENTIRELY on loans. This looks like a disaster waiting to happen. via the dodger kid

This concerns me greatly because Fox is pushing the deal ... and in the end, is making our GM not sign anyone with a multi-year contract. If that is the case, why pick up Nomah (or anyone for that matter) when you would have to give up the prospects we would need if the McCourt deal goes ahead. Really, not only is bad for the Dodgers, it is bad for baseball. If deals like this go through, it could be of your teams next.

The Dodgers are so screwed right now. Dodger Thoughts pretty much sums up my thinking here. Talk about "The Lady and the Tiger" situations. Dodger Fans here are our scenarios: McCourt's bid is approved. Payroll is slashed. We rely on the farm system and small FA deals for the indeterminate future. We are now the Twins. and/or Boston trades Nomah for Ordonez. Chicago bleeds us for prospects. Nomah becomes a FA in a year. And we have nothing to replenish the clubhouse within the farm system for a few years. or McCourt bid is rejected. Dodgers remain under the iron fist of FOX. FOX somehow allows Dan Evans to remain GM. Evans either botches the Nomah/Ordonez deal and gives up too much, or (more likely) the deal doesn't go down and Evans elects to sit on his ass while the rest of the good FA get snapped up. Blue Crew indeed.

He should sell his land in Southie. When he originally was trying to buy the Red Sox, he kind of flaunted that land as a possible new site for a new ballpark.
