Good for New Zealand to have that kind of outlook. It's a game that I kept thinking about all this week and how I feel lucky to have witnessed it. The game was theirs, but Ben Stokes happened. He was so exhausted but NZ could never get him out, though they came really close towards the end of the game. A NZ fielder caught Stokes's fly ball right at the boundary, but then stepped on it. That's a 6. Then (maybe?) the next ball, Stokes was stretching a single into a double, but Martin Gupta's attempt at throwing him out bounced off of Stokes's bat and on to the boundary. That's 2 for the double and 4 more for the attempted throw out going all the way to the boundary. Then Stokes tied the game on the last ball. And, of course, the super over that ended in a tie, but England wins on a tie breaker. Crazy, crazy game.
We had a good party after one of cricket's greatest games
