"An all-timer" : is how one veteran described Larry Bowa's tirade after the Phillies completed a 1-9 road trip. The manager blow up: the best of baseball.
All I know is, they KILL the damned Cardinals. And someone should tell Burrell to stop going to Vanilla Ice's hairdresser.

I'm guessing everyone started tuning Bowa out after the 50th temper tantrum this season. With a postseason race this tight, I'm pretty sure Tony Peņa cracking jokes to keep everyone loose is more effective than Bowa screaming until he's blue, again. I hate being around people that can't keep a level head under pressure. I work with a lady that "gives up" every time she has a computer problem, while raging about how much she "hates the computer" and "why won't it just work," and on and on. Instead of working on a solution, some people (like my colleague and Larry Bowa) just scream at the problem. It's not effective. It is entertaining, though...

I wonder who was screaming for more respect in that Kerrigan/Myers spat. Joe Kerrigan is a fine pitching coach as long as he stays in that position. He just sucks as a manager.

But the Phillies have been a bunch of Lollygaggers all season! Seriously, is there another team that has underperformed as much as they have. At the beginning of the season, I thought they would at least give the Braves a run for the division, and what's Pat Burrell's average again these days?
