"There was clearly a time when the East dominated, and I didn't hear all the carping about the imbalance in power.": Re-seeding the NBA playoffs? Blasphemy or ratings magnet? This guy has a proposal that sounds a bit like soccerfilter to me. But I think he's fooling. Or is he? Does someone need to wake-up Paul Pierce & Antoine Walker so we can go back to a Lakers-Celtics final?

I've heard some fans bemoan the fact that if their team was in the East Conf. that they would be dominating. I don't buy it. For a large chunk of the 80's heading into the 90's the East ruled the roost (with the exception of Magic's Lakers). Now that the tables have turned, everyone's crying about it. You didn't hear this tripe from Western Conf. teams, why now from the East? Is this an East Coast media bias thing?

...Although, if either Boston, Philly, or New York make the Finals anytime soon I don't think we'll hear this again for awhile.
