That's why we love baseball.: Can't beat this. Yanks vs Red Sox. Pedro against the Boomer. Blown save, Mariano. Kim loses to Yankees, again.
Newsflash?

Yankees and Red Sox game are always pretty electric, but I didn't see last night as any different than the other games they've played in the season. It was a good game, but it was kind of ordinary at the same time. Just wondering what you saw in the game to make it noteworthy.

Oh, I see what you mean. Baseball is a long season, so in my mind a really good game between marquee teams featuring marquee pitchers doesn't happen all that often.

Okay fair enough. Me personally, I like the Clemens/Pedro matchups or the Pedro/Mussina matchups. Wells never does well in Fenway.

Just another chapter in the battle to vanquish Questech if you ask me. Why even have umpires? I think both pitchers were a little disappointed.

The ump should have clocked pedro.

However it is nice today that Benetiz is causing me joy instead of the usual pain.

So the BoSox got one today...wonder how the Yankee fans will treat Benitez first loss. Is there a worse manager in baseball than Grady Little? Why do the Red Sox always go for these low profile managers, anyway? At least once they should try a high profile guy.

Grady's in a contract year. We'll see what happens. Little was thrown in at the last minute after the new owners fire Kerrigan and then Duquette... both terrific moves in my opinion.

Benetiz is causing me joy as well. The umping sure was tight, that's for sure. Good to see Burkett have another nice outing. I'm waiting on the bottom to drop out of this run he's been on. Still need another starter - not content with the rotation as is.

Is there a worse manager in baseball than Grady Little? Not that I can see. I loved Jimy Williams, but ol' Forest Hump leaves me cold. Mainly because he couldn't manage a pitching staff if it consisted of one guy.

When Grady first came in everyone loved him, didn't they? Just because of last year's fast start? I don't pay super close attention but his double intentional walks coming back to bite him in the ass not once but twice against the Yankees made me laugh. I didn't get too mad at Benitez yesterday... it didn't seem like a folding under pressure situation so much as just the Sox coming up big. I was just upset that the Yankees couldn't stick it to Kim again :)
