EPL manager profiles.: ESPN Soccernet profiles the men who will lead the EPL teams this coming season (a little over a month away!). I particularly liked reading and (learning new trivia) about my Liverpool favorites, Houllier, Keegan (Man City) and Souness (Blackburn). I also liked the write-up about Henry Redknapp (Portsmouth, last season's First Div champions). Which ones did you like? What surprised you about the managers you thought you knew? Do the profiles change your perceptions of which teams you think will succeed this season? [btw, here's another appetizer for the new season: Soccernet's list of the top independent EPL fan sites - 2-4 for each team!]

Hey, anyone who's interested enough to be reading this! Please also check out the Locker room discussion re: the SpoFi EPL fantasy league for the upcoming season. And thanks, SF, I'll look forward to your comments.

That's a fucking excellent link wc2002. Cheers. My favourite bit was this: In the end Birmingham finished 13th - only a last minute equaliser by West Ham's Paolo di Canio on the final day prevented a top-half finish - and were crowned as the city's top club for the first time in 28 years. They also did the double over Aston Villa to compound the pain of their local rivals. At the end of the season, Dugarry committed himself to a two-year contract at St Andrew's. With one of Europe's best players now happy to join the Bruce revolution the future can only be bright. The future is bright, the future is blue.

Kudos to Bruce and Birmingham. I look forward to more success for the Blues. As long as they stay out of Liverpool's way. ;-)

Fooker: Who would you rather coach Liverpool? And if Houllier wins the EPL this year, what are you going to say?

Houllier won't win the EPL... I'm afraid i spoke too soon when Kewell was signed...i then realized who was the manager... Houllier will insist on playing Heskey, Murphy and Carragher... And he will continue to play for 1-0 wins and draws... If he doesn't ruin Kewell's career in his first season at Liverpool, maybe they will be runner ups... I would prefer any one of these managers: Moyes, O'Leary, Robson, Keegan, Ranieri, Allardyce and even Reid. Maybe we could get Del Bosque?
