Posh on Geography and Economics: This article, reporting a "speech" given by Mrs. Beckham, from The Age is just too funny! Sample:
Los Angeles, a near neighbour to the west of the United States, has been the latest country we have visited on our fact-finding tour. The economy here is based on the production of talk shows and the currency is the Platinum Visa.
Plus, The Age is also reporting that Kewell may not be so close to an Anfield move, either staying at Leeds or be the real target of Barcelona. Or maybe Arsenal. Uh 0h. but nice for Harry to be so wanted.

"The thing about Spain is that it is a very genuine country - which is why the capital is called Real Madrid." The entire article is awesome. Good find!

"The thing about Spain is that it is a very genuine country - which is why the capital is called Real Madrid." No WAY did she say that...

StarFucker can read the comments but apparently does not have time for the article. :-)

Well that's one rumour over Kewell. The other one I heard was that Real had offered him 1.5 mil personally, to stay at Leeds until the end of the season and then come over on a Bosman. Leeds have been offering him various contracts for months now, and I can't see him signing this one either. I think Liverpool have always been last in the queue, much as I'd like to see him there. If the Real story is just a rumour, then watch who signs him if the Mancs fail to get their hands on Ronaldinho ... Arsenal can't match them in a bidding war, and it's also rumoured that Real have gone quiet about Beckham because they want a matching Brazilian dinner service. Cheers for the Beckham link by the way.

More transfer news, without starting a whole new thread: Liverpool may not be getting Kewel but Owen urges Houllier to sign more forwards! Oh yeah, scoring power, come on, come on! And Laporta won the election but seems like Becks will still not be landing in Barca anyway.

Hahaha. Good post, bill. What amazed me most about that article was not that Posh's geography is so accurate and up to date, but that her grammar is impeccable. Impeccable. But, most of all, thanks for keeping the transfer news going. We should talk about Liverpool's Houllier (and Arsenal's Wenger, and, oh, Becks, too) getting an OBE, too. Does that make him a Sir, or something? Duke Houllier? Lord Gerard? Councillor of the Exchequer Gerard? Viscomte Houllier? Marquis de Gerard? Hohohohoho!
