Wow... India 0/1 at the start of their reply and Sehwag mindlessly burns a review as well.

Even more pressure on Sachin now.

In the end, it wasn't Sachin's day with the bat. Instead, Ghambir guided India through to the final overs, and Dhoni finished it off with a proper captain's innings and the winning six.

Some weird decisions by Sanga with team selection and his bowling rotation, but take nothing away from India: they're at the top of the world in both Test and ODIs.

Things are going to be insane in India tonight.

Two early thoughts about the the Final 4 ..

1. Does Howard remind anyone of Tim Duncan? Certainly not as talented, but steady and solid, always at the right spot at the right time.

2. How did Charles Bunkley and Kenny Smith get appointed to an NCAA gig? These guys don't know their NCAA teams or players. Gheez .. they have Anthony who hardly gets to speak, guys like Bilas, Bobby Knight, and we get stuck with the dumbnamic duo?

Two good early wickets, but in general Sri Lanka's seamers were awful, and poor fielding let Ghambir get away when pressure could have been applied. Also, it's the best all round Indian team I've seen - usually fielding is a weakness, but this has improved out of sight in the last few years. Congratulations.

In other sports news, this is probably the weekend where United won the Premier League.

Phil Gould's normally someone I never agree with, but this article brings out some truths on how we organise junior sports, and how that might not be the best thing for our kids.

The ManU comeback was just said for non-ManU fans. I mean Rooney's a top striker, though his scoring touch has been MIA until very recently, but three goals in 15 minutes? The (Red) Devils just have too many tools and with Arsenal and Chelsea dropping points, well, pretty sure its going to be another league trophy residing at Old Trafford come mid-May.

Also, Avram Grant needs to remember that Jonathon Spector playing D Mid was the guy who started them on the upwards track at the end of last year and put Gary O'Neil back on the bench.
