Cashman says talk of Jeter in outfield was 'hypothetical': After making headlines by speculating that shortstop Derek Jeter likely will finish his contract as an outfielder, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told the New York Daily News that his comments merely were hypothetical.

Jeter finishing his contract as a outfielder is probably more likely than Cashman finishing his current contract with the Yankees. The guy seems to be making headlines for the wrong reasons this offseason.
