Could Chris Paul head to the New York Knicks?: Now that Chris Paul is apparently on the market, it's worth asking the question: Could New York's Chris Paul pipe dream really become reality? We're getting close, no? They've spent the past two years carving out the cap space and roster flexibility necessary to pull this off, and now a superstar is apparently interested, and it's about time we take this seriously

It shows how completely I have ignored the NBA for years that I figured this was some sort of joke, whereby the writer took a LeBron James story and inserted the name of some bench-warmer, in order to make it look like the Knicks weren't interested in LeBron all along but some no-namer.
Imagine my surprise when I googled Chris Paul.

Is anybody keeping track of how many good players are moving from the Western Conference to the Eastern Conference and vice versa? I haven't kept tabs, but perceive that the Western Conference is getting weaker.

but perceive that the Western Conference is getting weaker
NBA has mirrored MLB for the past 5 years or so, with 5 or 6 teams in 1 conference/league who could easily be the best in the other.
The disparity further benefits the weaker conference come playoff time, with the teams in the more competitive conference being at a disadvantage due to the physical toll of advancing (true for NBA, possibly not for MLB).

They need to make this happen. It's the best outcome possible now with the Lebron fiasco all said and done. That would be the makings of a formidable team.
There's some great young talent still in the West. But the better teams are now in the East. Who's second to the Lakers in the West now? Dallas? OK City? Phoenix? Could be a lot of teams. But Durant, Griffin, Evans - there are some exciting players, for sure.
