Apologies if this has been mentioned before: Chris Horner of Radio Shack (perviously Astana) gives a lift to a fallen rider (the unfortunately named Billy Demong) in the Cascade Cycling Classic in 2008. For 2 kilometres. Uphill. To the finish. Horner's in the breakaway group this afternoon contesting Stage 16 of the TdF.

Jennie Finch is retiring. I am sad by this since it is to spend more time to concentrate on her family. If it was to do more calendar shoots, I would whole-heartedly support it, but family seems such a waste.

Interesting article from Nicolas Roche in the Irish Independent today. Fascinating insight into team dynamics in the TdF. 'I wanted to smash his head in. I couldn't stand to be near him' says Roche, of his teammate John Gadret.
