Good news everyone! England's fantastic performance at the World Cup has seen them climb a place to seventh in FIFA's super-accurate rankings.

Let the octopus work out the rankings.

Even better. Instead of going from 8 to 7, in Octal England would have gone from 10 to 7.

Just a reminder to the CFL faithful that it's a short week this week. Games start tonight, so make sure your picks are in.

The most common passing combination in the first half of the World Cup final was Mathijsen to Stekelenberg (Defender to Goalkeeper).

Zonal Marking explains why.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Wilson explains why the 4-4-2 isn't dead, yet.

MLS = Major League Suckers? Come see the creaky and aged of Europe shuffle around for your entertainment! Still I think the US is getting the better deal by sending their young abroad and receiving the past-prime.

Only $25 to sit in the corner at the new Red Bull Stadium in New York Jersey.

Anything you'd like me to shout at him, JJ?

If the World Cup was any indication of how much fun it is to watch the best young players in the world at the moment, I'm starting to think I'd rather watch the slightly past their best showboating for cash.

Whatever it was that Annelka said to Napoleon would do. Incidentally, it just struck me the other day: Annelka was sent home for being a bad boy; the rest of them went home after they'd been knocked out. Annelka flew first class, the rest of them flew coach.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers want to kill beer-cup snake

tommy, that makes me sad. Spontaneous/Organic fun in the stands should not be stifled. I'm not sure how someone gets hurt by a plastic beer cup. I'm not saying it isn't foolish to just toss the things from upper decks or whatever, but I think that people who poo-poo on this kind of thing are better off watching the games at home on television.
