Great article on Scott Walker learning the DC subway system. I love his "small town, aw shucks" attitude.
I can certainly relate to how he felt on that first ride. When I moved to Chicago from podunkville, Mi, I felt the same exact way for my first el ride in the city. It's really intimidating when you are swarmed by a jillion people who are in a hurry and know what they are doing and you are just standing there, lost in a thousand yard stare, wondering what in the world you are doing.

For complete football nerds (like me), I've just found this fantastic site that covers tactics and stuff.

Oh, the PROPER kind of football. Excellent.
So, the cheat returned to F1 after a much beloved absence and the best this GOD (if you believe all the hype going into it) could manage was 7th place.
May his return be as terrific as Mansell's was in 1995...

Quinn may indeed be done since the Browns signed Delhomme.

Because kicking the ball, running around, and falling and acting like a sissy when you get bumped are hard concepts

When a team considers Jake Delhomme an upgrade, it's probably fair to say their quarterback situation is in disarray.

Very mature, coming from a sports writer.

Apparently more difficult than taking a little time to test one's preconceived notions.

Bubbles: Where the hell in Leave it to Beaver land are you taking me, McNulty?
McNulty: I just have to be at the kids' soccer game.
Bubbles: Soc-cer?

Weird, just watched that episode for the first time about an hour after reading that comment.

Wonder if we'll see an Apple ipad on an NFL or college sideline this fall.
