Phoenix Republican Rep. John McComish wants to keep the Cubs spring training facility in Arizona, at your expense of course.: Part of the $84 million cost would include a ticket increase for all spring training games in Arizona, including those not played by the Cubs. Cubs supporters have said all teams benefit from the Cubs because the Chicago team increases attendance at their away games.
I'm a chicagoan and a sox fan, call their bluff and let them leave. They should be self supporting, this is preseason none of this counts. All they do for a month is thin the herd for the real season.A lot of the people who attend these games are vacationing chicagoans and local seniors.Enough is enough seniors are on social security and times are hard in this country,Why are these clowns trying to make all their money back so quick?I thought repubs were fiscally conservative, whats his angle?

Homers, not homeless ... that could be his next campaign slogan.

HoHoKam was refurbished 12 years ago. I think the new owners, the Ricketts family, is making a big mistake trying to bully this through while approaching Florida as an alternative. They seem to think that without the Cubs, MLB is nothing. I'm a Chicagoan and a Cubs fan, but this tactic is bullsh@t. I hope Phoenix tells them to take a hike. Time to close my Ameritrade account.
